  In The Community

Our Homeless Ministry partners with Next Step Ministries to feed the homeless twice a month at a park off of Russell Rd and New Beginnings Drive. We serve food there the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month at 4pm at the park. Food drop off is from 3-3:30 at the church. If you would like to provide a main dish, side dish, dessert, snacks, or to serve (or both), please sign up at the back of the worship center. If you have any questions, please contact Dustin/Shelley Hines at 702-427-6465 or email dshines2013@gmail.com

We are also collecting gently used clothing of all sizes to be donated to Next Step Ministries. Look for the bin in the back of the Worship Center!

Good News Club kicks off for the year in September and this year we are in TWO schools! Good News Club is an after school club held at Robert Taylor Elementary School and Pinecrest Academy Cadence once a week where kids, with permission from their parents, play games and learn bible verses and stories and hear the Gospel. If you are interested in this ministry opportunity, please contact Debbie Simmons for more information. No experience necessary, only a heart to help kids learn about Jesus! Training dates are coming up soon!
Check out the Child Evangelism Fellowship website for more information about the Good News Clubs around the country: http://www.cefonline.com/ministries/goodnewsclub/

Do you have a heart for the elderly or disabled? We do nursing home visitations on Friday afternoons at 3:30 at the Lake Mead Health & Rehabilitation. Join the group and bless others just by being present with them! Visits are weekly on Mondays at 3:30 pm, contact Debbie Simmons, and on the 1st Fridays of the month at 10:00 am, contact Terry Lynn Foley.
